Enhancements made to google print


Google has late launched a new version of Google Print. One of several updates to the year old tool will enable publishers to manage which books are included, and to also share a percent of ad gross from Google. The new release of Print will contain the full text of books alternatively of just a promotional excerpt as in the previous version. Hunt results are also displayed in a different location from the pervious version.

In the past, Google Print has not existed as a standalone service, alternatively information from books was returned and combined with criterion search consequence from Google. The content of the books is now displayed in a new area called "OneBox". This subdivision is above the habitue search consequence where news newspaper headline, shopping consequence and local consequence are presently shown.

There is still no easy way to do a hunt for book data only as there is for mental image, news, shopping and other types of content. Google may introduce this in the hereafter by providing a special command to help searchers find just book content as well as the Print home page gaining a book hunt field. In the meanwhile, users will have to rely on workarounds.

Amazon has allowed searching book content for quite some time. Its service is designed to aid Amazon in merchandising books, and invites publishers to submit text from the book. Unlike Amazon, Google Print isn't designed to sell books, but will be used to provide new content for Google's AdSense service. The new content effectively gives Google many more chance to place sponsored links and earn additional revenue.
