Can i automatically ping google blogsearch?

I have a jolly long list of sites that I ping but only late realized that I have no way of pinging the new Google Blogsearch service when I have a new entry on my MT blog! Is there a way to do this that I just haven't bumped into?

It's only been in the last week that Google announced its ping service for the blogsearch site and even then, the stuff they've published is jolly confusing. So here's the scoop: what you want to do is add the followers to your ping or presentment list:

Let me show you how I added it to this weblog, which also runs on Movable Type. First, I clicked on "scene" and got to the full general admin subdivision that includes the followers navigational bar:

You want to move to the New Entry Defaults area (as I have done above, really) then coil down until you see "promotion/Remote Interfaces". It'll look like this:

You can see where to paste in the new Google Blogsearch URL: in the text box labeled "Others:". Do that, then click "Save alteration" and you're done.

That's all it should take for you to be decently notifying Google every time you add a pearl of wisdom to your blog!
